WE ARE HERE FOR YOU
Upstate Federal Credit Union wants you to know that we are here for you. In this time of uncertainty regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) we wanted to provide an update on our efforts to help the community we call home.
We want to assure you that we are taking every precaution necessary to keep our employees and members safe during this time. We have increased our cleaning measures and sanitize after every appointment in our lobby. Our employees are utilizing gloves when handling cash and are practicing as much social distancing as possible, while still working to meet your needs.
During this time, we understand that many of you will be financially impacted due to this virus. While it is necessary that we listen to and abide by the regulations that have been put in place to help stop the spread, we understand that the loss of work and lack of childcare options has created a heavy strain on our community. During an already stressful time, we're focused on helping to alleviate the burden as much as possible.
To support this effort we're offering the following options:
Starting immediately, if you have been financially impacted by the Coronavirus we will allow a 30-day extension on all loans.
This extension will not happen automatically for all members. We want to focus our efforts on those that are currently affected. You must reach out to us via phone, online banking chat, or e-mail to start this process. Please log into your online banking, or look below for branch information.
To help alleviate another area of worry, we are waiving all Courtesy Pay fees for transactions under $30.
We want our members to be able to use their debit cards without having to worry about a charge being added on. Also, we trust our members to cover any negative balances that may occur when the world returns to normal and we all get back to work.
we are introducing a second round of skip-payments if your employer has shut down due to covid-19 and unemployment has not started yet.
If you lost your income for a substantial period of time as a result of COVID-19, we want to help. We understand there is uncertainty regarding unemployment and when the world will open back up. Same as before, this is not an automatic process and you will need to reach out to your local branch in order to start this process. Be prepared with the following documents: Employer name, shut down date, anticipated open date, unemployment status, how much were you getting paid previously (weekly, biweekly, monthly).
Lastly, we want you to know that we are thinking about you, we are praying for you, and we are here for you. We will get through this together. You can always count on “Your Community Credit Union” to be right around the corner and open for business.
