Reviewing your credit report is a very important step in maintaining good credit and monitoring or recovering from past credit problems.

  1. It can help you detect errors that may have been placed on your credit report without your approval

  2. Merchant mistakes can also result in incorrect credit reports. It’s possible for a merchant to enter an incorrect social security number when pulling credit for someone else.

  3. Stop identity theft

You can request a FREE annual credit report by visiting the Annual Credit Report website. Once on the homepage, choose “Request your free credit reports”.

You may also request your FREE report by calling 1-877-322-8228. For TTY service, call 711 and ask them to relay the operator to 1-800-821-7232.

If you’d rather request your report by mail, please visit the Annual Credit Report website to fill out the Annual Credit Report Request form and mail it to the following address: P.O. Box 105281 Atlanta, GA 30348.
